Daddy time

Since it has been cold & Vance doesn't have quite as much farm work in the winter, I have been trying to sneak out on Sat mornings &  let the girls have some Daddy time! The photos are from when I was out... Wow! Does Sophia look like her daddy, or what? Even when she was first born, my sister Mindy would say "wow, it looks just like Vance, in a onesie!!!" :)

Annabella, is all her Momma! She is 25% on the height chart & 75% in weight! Gotta LOVE her tummy & those thighs! She may be the youngest in our play group, & a shorty, but the girl has a temper! I was telling her "no" in  my most stern voice yesterday, Anna looked right at me, hands in fists & yelled & blabbered as if to tell me off..... Sophia & I were cracking up! She is also SO excited when we can figure out her sounds into words. She will smile & enthusiastically shake her head yes. She is running. She is copying Sophia. She loves books, & babies, blueberries & bubbles. (funny, all those start w/ the letter B) She also REALLY knows how to get a reaction from us.... she will teater on the stairs, which makes me come running. She will pull Sophia's hair & take her toy/ sippy cup/food & run. My family says this is really early for the girls to start these "games". I am so  worried for the next 18 years! :)

Princess Emily & Princess Emily

Sophia names EVERYTHING Emily, babydolls, little play cows, the bears that she swears are in her room. We were making crowns today & built a "castle" out of a sheet & the table. Here we are with our crowns, guess what our names were?

This is a song that she made up one day while sitting at the diner table.
"When I was a baby, a princess came to save me. One day a princess found my gee (pacifier) I had looked for it all day. I wanted it so bad. One day I grew up & wanted my gee & cried about it. She found it in the dragons hand. Now I want my baby sister. YEEEAAAAHHH. the end"

Is it Christmas Time again today?

Here are a few pics from Christmas Eve. Such a wonderful, fun night. Vance built fires in the fireplace. They smell & sound so good!!! We had a beautiful dinner -  Vance grilled HUGE steaks on our little George Foreman. The only way to grill with below 0 temps!! Warm house, great food, & our little fam, healthy & happy....  for the most part. Anna bannana had an ear infection, & all was happy.....

Until the meltdowns. 3 yr olds are really smart. The whole concept of momentum building for a month for 1 days events, just doesn't sit well with Sophia. She thinks the "Kissmus tee" is here to stay & the concept of it having to come down, brought her to tears today. She also asks "Is there presents today?... and cake?" Which I have to reply "no sweetheart" again, bringing her to tears. Ugh. I realized this yr too, that the joy seemed to be in the unwrapping . We did get a few "this is the best present ever" Said about the gifts: an 8 pk of lip balms & a 10 pk of "undiepants" :) Next yr I might just try & wrap any old thing & just see the reaction. hee hee

New year's eve is Wed & we are going to have a little present.... & cake!!!!!!! :)

Christmas card photo session #2

What can I say?
I MUST be the worlds absolute worst photographer, to get such horrid shots of these cuties!!! The cards aren't sent out, but Christmas was great even without them... Anna did have an ear infection, which meant we did not sleep for days. Not fun.

Opening gifts with the girls, very fun.

Photo found

So I found this pic that I took with my  computer, last spring. Sophia is amazed that her pic is showing on the computer. They look so tiny! especially Anna! & look at their hair! I had had this idea to take a photo of anna each day for a week, right when she woke up. Her hair was always super crazy. But I didn't & now I wish I would've! Agh. That is why my momma friends said that I should start & keep up (right Jen!) this blog: so I would document the stories of the girls that I am always telling the Mommas.Already I have forgotten some of the highlights from the last few months. I will call Jen & Lynn & see if they remember :) & then I will document, document, document!!! The memories are to precious to loose!

Happy birthday!

Vance's b-day was tuesday & the girls were so excited about it.... & THE CAKE. All day it was "momma me want cake" "momma me ate blueberries & they are good for me, so now let's have cake!" I was able to distract them by taking their pictures (the previos post) &  having them do watercolors for daddy. & Finally it was Cake time!!!! Sophia sang Happy Birthday, deer dadda all by herself. & could not get enough frosting, but who can?

Christmas card photo session #1

Aren't they cute? Yes. But not if you are holding both on your lap, trying to keep them from touching the laptop & type. That is what I am doing & why this will have to be so short :)
