FALL 2010

:) These are not in any order of importance (since the goats are first, before MY babies ) :)

Her are a few pics from this fall. There should be hundreds of pics since it was a wonderfully busy few months. But this will do.

Here are 3 ity bity baby goats. We have 11 and they are only cuter now then when they were first born. I was able to watch 2 births. Very exciting

Our beautiful Annabella turned 3!!!! How & Why do they have to grow up so fast!

Enjoying a warm fall rain...... so much personality in that silly girl!

Grandma Opal got a puppy.... Angel. It is now her world. The girls absolutely love this little dog.

Aren't they both just INSANELY cute! :)

What a fun "home vacation"

Vance took the week off for some family fun. It has been non-stop. A new puppy, to watch the goats. The new pup "Willie" is the sweetest. And boat rides on the lake with fishing and island adventures. Very fun & the week isn't over :)

The new addition to the farm- Willie, a Great Pyrenees.

Vance, holding his 2  month, 30 lb puppy

The girls enjoying a boat ride to the island

Anna with her catch- a perch. She caught this with her new Dora fishing pole

The girls on the tube, NOT pulled by the boat. We would hold the rope on shore & push/pull them. Much more their speed.

5 little goats

We now have 5 new  little goats on our farm. Right now we are raising them for meat, but next Spring we may begin milking. Agh, I have no idea what all that means.... :) I guess I/ & the girls will be learning how to milk, make cheese & soaps... crazy! Here they are......

Sisters, Sunny & Cow. Anna named "Cow" & I think that is SO funny that she sees the humor in naming a goat "cow" ha haaa

Strongbad, he's our only boy & such a sweetie!

Princess, originally named that because of the heart shape on her head. But, she's a diva & will climb on anyone who gets in the way of her food! Even poor Sophia.

And Gloria.
Here is Vance w/ his girls, the day we brought them home.... He had to catch them in order for us to pet them... now they call to us to come over - they want food. :)

Way way WAY too cute!

Last weekend Vance had the idea to go to a farm to get the girls bunnies. (The week before we had had some wild bunnies, but sadly, they squeezed out of the bunny cage)  So, when we went to get the bunnies the farmer said we could have a kitty.... well we couldn't leave with just ONE kitty :) . The farmer said that we could play with them all together ( REALLY?) But, so far all 4 seem very happy with the idea.

Vance built this "playpen" that the kids can be in & play with all of them. So very cute!!!! Anna's bunny is the white one & her kitty has the white paws. They are both named Kayla after their cousin. Sophia's brown bunny & darker kitty are named Chase, also their cousin & Kayla's brother. So, Kayla, Kayla, Chase & Chase are the latest animals to join this crazy place we call home :)

"Fixed, & he didn't even know he was broken"

What can I say? Our sweet Brutis ( who I have nick-named Bruce, I think it is MUCH funnier to have a dog named Bruce) had to wear this funny contraption all last week. On the day it rained, this cone worked just like a funnel. Poor poor puppy.

Fun weekend

What a fun weekend! The weather was fabulous for playing outside, so we played out ALOT! And we had 2 party;s 1 at the local church & a birthday party. The girls had to wear their party dresses- a new thing around here- lots of "party dress" wearing. They did lots of crafts & had their faces painted & then went bowling. Fun fun times!

It is almost Aril! How did that happen??!! We are SO  looking forward to being outside, parks, pools (oh, I can't even imagine), gardening & maybe even baby goats.... fun!

Everyday scenes

Anna- Crazy hair, always with little baby, & blankie. Here she is very seriously singing "You are my sunshine" That's OUR song :)

Trying to make an everyday thing & make it "crazy fun" :) the bubbles weren't working, so we added balls.
Little craft boxes & Momma blogg'n

Brutis, the whoosie dog, playing with his kittie friend from INSIDE. It is 5 degrees outside, even a dog knows when it is too cold to play outside :)

Winter morning activities a.k.a. The Hive

Sophia has always been an early morning girl. She wakes up around 5:30 - 6:00 am. (Anna, is not in these pics, because she sleeps to a normal time of 8!) Agh. We used to "nuggle" & watch cartoons, but lately that  isn't cutting it. So, she wakes up w/ oodles of energy. So, I have found some fun books that have activities to keep us busy! "Big Book of Things to Do, Art Starts for little hands, & The Great Thumbprint Drawing Book"So busy that I have called the kitchen our "hive" & I am the queen bee, of course!

We have "sculpted" w/ clay, learned to tie shoes, cut cardboard hearts & covered w/ foil, screen printed, baked cupcakes, made countless other dishes,  made drawings from thumbprints. That was this week. I'm tired.

Clay animals & faces. We sculpted, baked, & painted them! So much fun for the girls... ok I had some fun with it too :) Anna did this activity. It was in the afternoon. :)

Sophia taking my picture, after we mastered the art of teaching/learning to tie shoes.

Sophia, celebrating after she learned to tie :)

Look at the concentration in the loop progression. Way to go!!!
